Missions

• Collection and analysis of customer requirements. Collection and analysis of program experiences and best practices (lessons learned). He maintains contacts to the networks of product specialists and PDLs in the regional AFO customer teams and the benchmarking group.
• He is in charge of creation of the functional analysis, FMEA, product specification and design guidelines / rules (DCS). He organizes the work of the relevant experts to create the standard documents.
• Preparation of cost calculations and quotes for design, validation testing and prototypes.
• Plans and controls design reviews, design releases and the product validation.
• Reviews test and analysis reports with the metier specialists. Supports the creation of synthesis and report presentation.
• Responsible for technical risk and opportunity analysis and manages the action plan.
• Organisation of technical reviews with specialists and experts.
• Reporting with technical project presentation for internal gate reviews as well as customer presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or Master's degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 3/5 years of professional experience in automotive industry, ideally in product development
• General automotive knowledge and Tier 1 or OEM engineering experience
• Ability to effectively report out to customers and internal personnel (PLE Management, AFO, Plants, etc.) at all levels
• Strong network and teamwork sense
• Must have international mindset and be willing to work with individuals in all functions
• Minimum language skill: English, German
