Missions

The main missions of the role are to:

  • Manage the assigned team of commodity buyers
  • Deploy within the Division/Region the purchasing strategy and panel construction
  • Develop market intelligence and analysis
  • Pilot supplier selection and implement supplier panel consolidation plan
  • Develop and implement tools to improve global productivity (BLC, e-sourcing, value analysis…)
  • Negotiate general agreements with the main supplier of assigned commodities
  • Lead the supplier performance evaluation and improvement
  • Construct the annual productivity budget
  • Track monthly savings performance and manage forecast vs budget
  • Manage insolvencies of suppliers and steer corrective action plan
  • Ensure Internal Control Process Compliance (segregation of responsibilities)
  • Deployment of the Faurecia Transport Management System (SAP TM)
  • Coordinate / participate in plant logistics optimisation workshops
  • Ensure the interface between the logistics and purchasing departments

Profile

  • Master's degree in business/engineering, specialisation in international purchasing a plus
  • 5 to 8 years experience in Purchasing in an industrial / supply chain capacity
  • Proven experience in a management role
  • Knowledge of supply portfolio and market research and analysis
  • Supply chain management principles
  • Understanding of sourcing strategies and application (make or buy analysis,…)
  • Deep understanding of business practices, market dynamics and trends.
  • Knowledge of contractual and legal aspects
  • Analytical / Financial skills
  • English fluent + profficient in German French
  • International mindset
  • Negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Project management
