Why we want you on our team - Your strengths
- You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- You have over 5 years of experience as a field technician.
- You possess good communication and have a strong customer orientation and enjoy customer contact.
- You are proactive and work independently, accurately, and precisely.
- You have very good planning, presentation and organisational skills.
- You have a technical knowledge of packaging machines and of the consumer product industry.
- You have the ability to work in a team and with colleagues abroad.
- You have very good knowledge of French and German or English, both written and spoken.
- You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP, preferably SAP.
Key responsibilities - What we expect from you
- You will act as a representative of the After Sales Service using technical, organisational and customer knowledge to guide customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs.
- You will identify opportunities at the customer’s site and find a suitable solution by communicating with internal departments to satisfy the customer's needs.
- You will establish and maintain customer contacts, research customer needs and develop applications of products and services.
- You will prepare quotations for possible service packs.
- During the design phase of a new machine, you will assess training needs, maintenance contracts, and spare parts requirements, coordinating with engineering and the spare parts team.
- You act as the keeper of an open issues list after the machine delivery and play a substantial role in the success of the project.
- You will drive process optimisation, warranty expansion, upgrades, efficiency programs, and comprehensive service support.
- You look forward to visiting some clients (5 to 20% of the time).
