"Faurecia, a driving force…for your professional growth."

The main missions

  • Represent the mechanical Durability/CAE department within the program team, in support to the acquisition department (know-how, feasibility, budget) and when conducting operations at the client's plant.
  • Assist the development leader or innovation team concerning simulation services.
  • Establish numerical simulation models and make the iterative calculations and optimizations.
  • Coordinate the CAE capacity (work load, scheduling, subcontracting) while complying with the performance objectives that apply in the division (cost, quality, deadlines, etc.).
  • Be able to lead and work with a small team for the simulations on one program.
  • Attend the client's development meetings.
  • Respect the modus operandi described in the development process, applying the procedures and tools recommended by FES and PMS.
  • Participate in the analysis of both in-house and the client's input data (tender and development phases).
  • Participate in the analysis of product/process risks (tender and development phases).
  • Be involved in the "sturdy design" approach, assisting the pre-development and development leaders in selecting the potential major risks and in preparing and carrying out the action plans.
  • Give an approval about the feasibility (deadline, means, etc.) of simulations provided for in the validation plan.
  • Specify the environment data and indicating the limits or possibilities with respect to expectations.
  • Identify & recommend the design improvements.
  • Manage the "regulation, safety" and "special" characteristics in the deliverable calculation in compliance with the standards in force.
  • Coordinate and assist tests requested in the validation plan, checking the representativeness of the parts and test conditions, participating in the analysis of the results, in the proposal of the design and in the implementation of the corrective action.
  • Participate in the choice of way of improvement of tools: creation / evolution necessary to address new needs (new product, new specification, new methodology …).
  • Capitalize experience gained on the programs, establishing the correlations between the results obtained by simulation nd the tests on parts. Update the calculation data base and optimize the methodology tools of the operations.
  • Define the resources for establishing the design assistance and validation file further to a tender submission.
  • Regular trips in Europe and sometimes Worldwide to be planned

  • Experience in FEA Simulation tools (Must: LS Dyna) and programming languages
  • Knowledge of different material behavior like aluminum, fiber reinforced composites, steel…
  • Background in testing equipment, setup and analysis, and measurement techniques
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
